Dents in wood can be fixed by soaking a washcloth in water and ringing it out so that it’s not soaking wet. Place the washcloth on the section with dents. The wood will absorb the water. Then, take an iron and turn it to the highest setting, and use it on the washcloth on the section with dents. Press firmly and create small movements back and forth and in circles until the washcloth dries. The fibers in the wood are absorbing the water. The fibers will expand to their starting location. Repeat several times, adding more water, until the dents are gone.
